Over the years applications tend to become difficult to enhance or bug fix if the applications are not maintained with the right strategy and planning. New features, change requests and bug fixing tend to make the applications error prone and very difficult to handle or maintain. We believe; by smart sustenance practices one can enhance the ROI and decrease the total cost of ownership of the applications.

Our Approach

We engage with our clients to understand the maintenance needs and subsequently come up with a maintenance strategy. This strategy takes into account the business objectives, application roadmap, expected support volumes and the level of investments planned.

We then put together a team that has the requisite expertise and at the same time matches the budgetary constraints. This outsourced team works with our clients engineering teams to take over their code base with or without extensive documentation and subsequently maintain it for the life of the application.

Following are the steps involved:

Step 1: Build the right sustenance team keeping in mind the application roadmap, technology life, business criticality and demands.
Step 2: Have this team co-located for few weeks/months with existing client team to gain the applications knowledge.
Step 3: BrickRed takes control of the complete application only slowly, starting as co-developers to the client’s existing team.
Step 4: BrickRed team starts working and maintenance tasks independently and client team just approves it.
Step 5: BR team becomes completely on their own and starts supporting the applications on critical or non-critical changes/issues/bugs.
